PROFESSIONAL CLEANING OF diesel particual filters (DPF-FAP) aND SCR's

We have the latest cleaning equipment for passenger and cargo program specific filters:

  • Minimum cleaning time - 30 to 120 minutes
  • No cutting and welding - no problems with re-installation and leakage of gases
  • 100% safe cleaning method for your filter
  • Factory parameters after cleaning
  • Pre-cleaning test and cleanness test after washing with printed results
  • Certified cleaning method

The equipment works on the principle of pulse waves in combination water and pressure chemicals. 100% environmentally friendly cleaning. Cleaning on our equipment is more effective than all other chemical processes after which dirt returns very quickly. We do not cut your filter in order to clean it, which eliminates the possibility of a fault in the welding process, or problems with the re-installation of the filter on the vehicle, as well as the problem of leakage of gases on welded joints.

Inadequate extinguishing of DPF can cause the following consequences:

  • Turbocharger failure
  • Turbo hole - delayed engine power at lower revs
  • Reduced engine power
  • High temperature of exhaust gases
  • Increase in gas toxicity
  • Reducing engine durability

STEPS IN THE PROCESS OF cleaning your DPF:

  • Visual inspection and recording of the inside of the filter
  • The test of seal with the print of results
  • Cleaning the DPF
  • Drying
  • Clean filter testing with printed results
  • Packing and shipping

Most diesel engine owners will at some point hear DPF or FAP tags.

These are the markings for the Diesel Particle Filter or part of the exhaust system that collects particles of the soot from the engine.

When it's jammed, it's often not possible to replace it at low cost with another part.

When you were told that your DPF was dirty or blocked, the questions that matter most to you are: What caused the DPF to block? How is DPF blocked?
Both questions are simple and very important. In most cases, it is first necessary to replace the new one or clean the old DPF so that the investigation of what is the cause of the DPF's contamination can continue.

Without proper diagnosis, what caused drowsiness to clean or replace a new would only be a short-term solution.

How is your DPF blocked?

If it is partially blocked, the unblocking can be started through the diagnostics. This process is called regeneration. If the DPF is dirty more than 70% it will not be possible to start regeneration so that the DPF repair or replacement with the new one is the only possible solution. Turbo Service has equipment for professional cleaning of all types of DPF filter of passenger and freight program.

What are your options when experincing a problem with DPF?

  • Diagnostic test to confirm that DPF is blocked.
  • You need to check if there is an update of your engine software. New software versions can prevent problems with the frequency of DPF depletion
  • Replacing the DPF with the new one is the best option, but the average price of the DPF over 1000eur plus disassembly and installation on the vehicle.
  • Replacing the DPF with some of the available copies at an average price of 300eur (not recommended because the efficiency and durability of such DPFs is very small)
  • Send DPF to our service in order to perform professional cleaning with a acertificate before and after washing.

In any case,  you can contact us to inform you about the possibilities and advise you what to do with your DPF.

What is DPF / FAP and what is it used for?

The DPF is a designation for the Diesel Particulate Filter, that is, a carbon dioxide particle filter that has been mandatory since 2009, although many of its manufacturers have had many years earlier on their vehicles. It is required on engines to meet Euro 4,5 and 6 norms and reduce emissions of harmful gases.

The main function of DPF is to collect carcinogenic particles of the soot so that they do not freely end up in the atmosphere. In order to work well as any filter, it is necessary to clean it so that the engine is not choking. In the case of DPF, the self-cleaning process is called regeneration. During regeneration, the engine misses an additional amount of fuel which causes a high temperature that burns the accumulated soot and converts it into a small amount of ash released and the environment.

The DPF consists of a ceramic honeycomb made of silicon carbide that has chamber collecting chambers. Walls of honeycomb are gas-permeable so that they keep a detrimental soot on them, and the purified gases are poured into the atmosphere.

In practice, there are two types of regeneration, active and passive.

Passive takes place on the car itself when the temperature rises enough to cause the particles of the soot to burn themselves.

In active regeneration, the ECU engine takes control of the regeneration process. It works when the amount of soot in the DPF crosses a certain limit and triggers fuel injection to increase the temperature in the exhaust system that will burn the accumulated carbon black in the filter. For this type of regeneration, additional conditions such as longer running on constant gas, etc. are required. If the ride in the mode is stopped - the process will stop and the indicator light will flash on the instrument panel indicating that the DPF is dirty.

If  you ignore the fact that a DPF is dirty for a long range of time,  or if there is an additional problem on the engine, it may result in excessive deformation of the DPF which can not be cleaned with active or passive regeneration. In these cases it is necessary to replace the DPF with a new one that costs  approximately up to 1000 EUR or service it in our service on a device that can safely and safely return your DPF to the factory.

All DPF filters are designed to last as long as the engine but with proper maintenance, ie with proper maintenance of other engine components, as well as regular regeneration.

is it ok to permanetly remove DPF filter?

  • Soon a new environmental protection law is expected that prevents the registration of vehicles with the removed DPF.
  • Cleaning the DPF is less costly than removing filters and software shutdowns.
  • Vehicles without DPF filters contaminate the environment they are in
  • On the DPF itself and all around it there are plenty of probes, which after physical removal need to be turned off,  in order not to read the software data. Although there are many firms dealing with the shutdown of portions of particular filter, there are very few companies that can do this job without consequences for the engine
  • Without a DPF filter Your vehicle loses its Euro standard and can not be driven in most European countries
